The project renovated an existing site with an existing structure to suit for a future project. The existing site did not have adequate infrastructure to support the future growth of the site. Columbia Engineering Group performed the electrical engineering services in support of the project. The scope included designing the medium-voltage electrical distribution system to the site, distribution throughout the site, switchover from the existing to the new while the building remained occupied (phasing), fiber infrastructure to the site, fiber distribution throughout the site, and the customer-owned raceway/vault infrastructure to inner-connect multiple future buildings throughout the campus. Columbia Engineering Group performed probable construction cost estimating at each milestone to ensure the project was within budget while maximizing the funds available. The project went out for public bid and was awarded. The project was a great success and brought value to the community through improved public municipal system.
